Second International Conference of CIS IHSS on Humic Innovative Technologies «Natural and engineered nanoparticles in clean water and soil technologies», October 28-31, 2012, Moscow, Russia

Dear colleagues,

We are very glad to announce the Second Conference on Humic Innovative Technologies «Natural and engineered nanoparticles in clean water and soil technologies» (HiT-2012) held under auspices of the CIS Chapter of IHSS. The HiT-2012 will take place from October 28 to 31, 2012, in the Uzkoe Resort of the Russian Academy of Sciences located in the city of Moscow, Russia.

Main goal of the HiT-2012 is to demonstrate the close breakthrough in the field of new nanotechnological developments for the purposes of soil and water clean up. The particular attention will be given to the issues of nanotoxicity where huic substances play important role by mediating toxic impact of synthetic nanoparticles. Another focal point of the conference is rational design of the ecologically sound nanoparticles suitable for water and soil clean up. This topic is of particular importance due to very promising applications of HS, chitosans, and other biocompatible materials for creating safe delivery systems for synthetic nanoparticles as well as for using them as templates for in situ synthesis of encapsulated ecologically-safe nanoparticles.

The conference organizers are the CIS IHSS Chapter, Helmholtz Zentrum Muenchen (Germany) and the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia).
